“Theatre is a form of knowledge.
It should and can also be a means of transforming society. Theatre can help us build our future rather than just waiting for it.”
-Augusto Boal
The Margaretville Arts Center is a 501(c)(3) not for profit bringing Performing Arts education as well as world class theatre, music, and dance performances to the Delaware County community on a pay-what-you can basis.
The mission of the DCSPA is to bring elite Performing Arts education to the young artists of Delaware County.
We believe access to Performing Arts education is an inalienable right and we will champion that right for the youth of Delaware County.
The mission of the Margaretville Arts Center is to bring state-of-the-art entertainment to the doorstep of our community.
We will bring you Shakespeare in the Park, Alvin Ailey under the stars, a symphony in an apple orchard, and hosts of Broadway concerts. We also support the next generation of artists to perform wherever they imagine. If you can dream it, we can produce it.
We believe in equity of opportunity in all facets of the arts.
From education to access to performances and mentors we partner with leading industry professionals to deliver the highest caliber arts experiences available with unlimited need-based scholarships as we believe the arts should be experienced by all those who have a passion for it.
We assert that an investment in the arts is an investment in a community and that together we can help shape the next generation of artistically minded, community focused human beings..
The Margaretville Arts Center Campaign:

The MAC and DCSPA need a permanent headquarters and home!
We are seeking to raise $17M to purchase a building in our immediate community, renovate it into state-of-the-art dance, music, and vocal rehearsal studios, a recording studio,
and a 150 seat black box theater to house our smaller scale productions.
We also seek to purchase equipment to establish our production house which enables us to take productions out on a smaller touring capacity to surrounding towns and in creative spaces.
Into the Woods IN the woods, perhaps?
